My first post from the new house! It's been a long road here, but it feels so good to be writing from my own home again. We were able to close on both our old house and our new house Monday afternoon, almost a week ago now. The closings were very hairy, not our doing unfortunately and there was nothing we could do about it. I will just say that it makes a big difference when people do their job right. We were supposed to close on the old house on Friday the 15th, but it didn't happen. It almost didn't happen the following Monday either. But, everything worked out in the end and we are very excited. All the kids love the new house. Charlie jumped up and down on his bed yelling, "New house! New house!" The day after moving in I took the kids back to the condo to pack some things up, and as soon as we arrived they all whined and cried for wanting to go back to the new house. Even Sasha has already adjusted. We've left her alone a few times and as long as the garbage is put away she's quiet and happy. No bark slobber on the windows.
More later, I've got some boxes to go unpack.
Congrats, beautiful new house! Glad everyone is loving it. When you get more settled we will have to come visit some time.
